Concerns and complaints about your care
We would rather hear about a problem than not. Most concerns are resolved quickly once we know about them — and raising one will never affect the care you receive.
Tell us
Speak to the clinician you saw, or contact reception. You do not need to put it in writing, though it helps if you can — and you are welcome to bring a family member, carer or advocate.
What we will do
- Acknowledge your concern within 5 business days.
- Look into what happened, and talk to the people involved.
- Give you a written response within 30 days explaining what we found, what we have done, and what you can do next if you remain dissatisfied.
- If we need longer, tell you why and agree a timeframe with you.
Concerns are directed to Dr Sean Ledger, Director and Principal Physiotherapist.
Office of the Health Ombudsman
The Office of the Health Ombudsman is Queensland’s independent health-complaints body. It is free, and you may contact it at any time — you do not have to raise your concern with us first.
In Queensland, complaints about registered health practitioners are received by the Health Ombudsman, which consults the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) where appropriate. You do not need to contact Ahpra separately.
Other kinds of concern
About your personal or health information. Privacy concerns follow a separate process, set out in section 16 of our Privacy Policy, with referral to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if unresolved.
About fees or an account. Contact reception directly — our fees and payment terms are set out on the Fees page and in our Terms and Conditions.
If you are an NDIS participant. You may also complain to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the national regulator for NDIS provider conduct. It accepts complaints from anyone about any NDIS provider, including providers that are not registered — we are not a registered provider. Call 1800 035 544 or visit ndiscommission.gov.au.
If you receive aged care. You may also complain to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, the independent national aged-care regulator. Its service is free, complaints may be made anonymously, and you do not have to raise the matter with us first. Call 1800 951 822 or visit agedcarequality.gov.au.
This page sets out how Inspire Clinic receives and responds to concerns and complaints about care. Read it together with our Privacy Policy — section 16 covers concerns about your personal or health information — and our Terms and Conditions. Our complaints handling reflects our obligations as a registered health practitioner under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as applied in Queensland, and the Code of conduct of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
