Fees and funding, published in full.
As a dedicated cardiorespiratory physiotherapy clinic, our fees reflect the clinical time and expertise involved. Private fees are shown below; a range of funding pathways may reduce your out-of-pocket cost.
Initial consultations
Names match the appointment types in our booking system. Home visits are arranged through reception rather than booked online.
Ongoing consultations
A review appointment with your physiotherapist. Home visits are arranged through reception rather than booked online.
Exercise programmes
Both programmes are charged per session at $100 — 30 minutes each, usually twice a week. A course is typically 16 sessions over eight weeks, and most clients choose to continue well beyond that. Cardiorespiratory rehabilitation is supervised exercise; lifestyle management is the daily habits around it. Taken together or separately, and NDIS is available by arrangement — contact the clinic for a service agreement.
Surgical rehabilitation
Individual sessions either side of planned surgery. Both are bookable online, and both are commonly used alongside the Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation Programme rather than instead of it.
Clinical massage
Available on alternate Wednesdays only, with Dr Sean Ledger, Principal Physiotherapist. Ring or text reception to find the next available date.
Equipment & device set-up
Please call the clinic to discuss your specific needs. Each session is 60 minutes. Additional caregiver or care-staff training is $220 per 60 minutes, then $110 per additional 30 minutes. A medical prescription is required for oxygen and BiPAP. Fees are separate from device purchase or rental costs.
Sleep support
For CPAP prescribed for obstructive sleep apnoea. Sleep studies and lung function testing are not performed at Inspire Clinic. You can complete our sleep apnoea check and take it to your GP for review and onward referral for a home sleep study at a clinic such as CQ Respiratory and Sleep Clinic.
Reports, documentation & after-hours
Quotes provided on request for complex reports. NDIS non-face-to-face services are billed at NDIS rates ($183.99/hour).
Pathways that may reduce your cost
You do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist privately. A referral is required for a Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) and DVA funding, and a medical prescription is required to begin non-invasive ventilation. Medicare rebates are available for eligible consultations. Privately funded home visits incur a travel surcharge of $1/km beyond 15 km of the clinic.
Support coordinators, plan managers, aged care case managers and finance teams: the full schedule of fees lists every private, NDIS, aged care, DVA, Work Cover and NIISQ fee in one place, with travel rules, notice periods and paperwork — and downloads as a PDF.
We kindly request payment on the day of service. Where health-fund or Tyro Health systems are temporarily unavailable, on-the-spot claiming may not be possible.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel. For NDIS-funded appointments the notice period is 2 clear business days, as set by the NDIS. To move an appointment to another time, we ask for at least 12 hours' notice — you can change or cancel your booking online up to then, or call reception.
Life happens, and a one-off cancellation is not charged. Where cancellations at short notice or missed appointments happen repeatedly, a fee of $125 plus EFTPOS fees may apply. It is not claimable from Medicare or any other funder — see our cancellation policy.
Fees are indicative and current as at 1 September 2026. Home visits and complex-needs services — active management of NIV, Cough Assist, oxygen, suctioning or tracheostomy — are arranged through reception. For privately funded home visits a travel surcharge of $1/km applies beyond 15 km from the clinic; travel for NDIS, aged care, NIISQ and Work Cover clients follows each funder's own rules — see the full schedule of fees. Please confirm current fees and your eligibility with reception.
The questions people ask before booking
Every answer below is the same wording as the schedule above and our terms — gathered here so you do not have to hunt for it.
What does a first physiotherapy appointment cost?
An Initial Consultation is 45 minutes and costs $180. It is a full assessment of your symptoms, breathing, exercise tolerance and daily function — including your history, medications, any oxygen or device use, previous surgery, and what you want to get back to doing. A Follow-up Consultation is 30 minutes and costs $120.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
You do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist privately. A referral is required for a Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) and DVA funding, and a medical prescription is required to begin non-invasive ventilation.
What does Medicare pay back?
GP Chronic Condition Management Plans on GP referral provide a fixed rebate of $63.40 per claim toward eligible consultations — up to 5 services per calendar year, or up to 10 for eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients. The full fee is payable on the day and we process the claim so the rebate is paid back to you.
Can I use NDIS or aged care funding?
Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are supported, and NDIS programmes are available by service agreement. Every private, NDIS, aged care, DVA, Work Cover and NIISQ fee is listed in the full schedule of fees, together with each funder’s travel rules, notice periods and paperwork.
How much notice do I need to give to cancel or change an appointment?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel. For NDIS-funded appointments the notice period is 2 clear business days, as set by the NDIS. To move an appointment to another time, we ask for at least 12 hours’ notice. Life happens, and a one-off cancellation is not charged. Where cancellations at short notice or missed appointments happen repeatedly, a fee of $125 plus EFTPOS fees may apply, and it is not claimable from Medicare or any other funder.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
You can claim through your extras (physiotherapy) cover via Tyro Health on the day where available. We kindly request payment on the day of service. Where health-fund or Tyro Health systems are temporarily unavailable, on-the-spot claiming may not be possible.
Do you do home visits, and is there a travel charge?
Home visits are arranged through reception rather than booked online. For privately funded home visits a travel surcharge of $1/km applies beyond 15 km from the clinic. Travel for NDIS, aged care, NIISQ and Work Cover clients follows each funder’s own rules.
What does the rehabilitation programme involve?
Sixteen supervised one-to-one sessions over eight weeks, twice a week, combining aerobic work, strength training and breathing techniques — prescribed from your assessment and progressed each visit. Both programmes are charged at $100 per session. A course is typically 16 sessions, and most clients continue beyond that.
