Consultations

Home visits are arranged through reception rather than booked online. For privately funded visits a travel surcharge of $1/km applies beyond 15 km from the clinic; there is no travel charge inside 15 km. Funded clients follow their funder's own travel rules — section 8 for NDIS, section 9 for aged care, section 10 for NIISQ and Work Cover. Complex-needs care in the home — active management of NIV, Cough Assist, oxygen, suctioning or tracheostomy — is quoted individually.

Initial Consultation
Full assessment of symptoms, breathing, exercise tolerance and daily function, including history, medications, device or oxygen use and previous surgery. Includes treatment on the day where appropriate, and a written management plan.
45 min
$180
Follow-up Consultation
Review of progress, reassessment of symptoms and measurements, and progression of treatment and exercise. Also used for technique review — inhaler, airway clearance, breathing exercises or a post-operative protocol.
30 min
$120
Extended Consultation
A longer appointment for more complex presentations, or where more than one problem is treated in the same visit. Includes active management of NIV, Cough Assist, oxygen, suctioning or tracheostomy care with device review and adjustment.
45 min
$180
Section 2

Exercise programmes

Both are charged per session at $100 — 30 minutes each, usually twice a week. A course is typically 16 sessions over 8 weeks, and most clients continue well beyond that. They can be taken separately or alongside each other. NDIS funding is available by arrangement under a service agreement.

Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation Programme
Supervised one-to-one aerobic work, strength training and breathing techniques, prescribed from assessment and progressed each visit. Oxygen levels, heart rate and breathlessness monitored throughout. Includes baseline and discharge assessment.
Per 30-min session · typically 16 sessions
$100
Lifestyle Changes Management Programme
Structured work on physical activity, weight, sleep, alcohol, stress and staying smoke-free, with a written plan reviewed and progressed throughout. Includes onward referral to quit-smoking, dietetic, psychology or exercise physiology support where appropriate.
Per 30-min session · typically 16 sessions
$100
Section 3

Surgical rehabilitation

Individual sessions either side of planned surgery. Both are bookable online, and both are commonly used alongside the Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation Programme rather than instead of it.

Pre-Surgical Rehabilitation
Preparation ahead of planned surgery — breathing technique, airway clearance and conditioning taught before the operation, so you already know them when you wake up. Most useful for thoracic, cardiac and upper abdominal surgery, where the first days afterwards decide how quickly the chest recovers.
30 min
$120
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Recovery and reconditioning after surgery — restoring lung volume, clearing the chest, managing pain-related splinting and rebuilding exercise tolerance at a pace your surgical team is happy with.
30 min
$120
Section 4

Clinical massage

Available on alternate Wednesdays only, with Dr Sean Ledger, Principal Physiotherapist. Ring or text reception to find the next available date.

Clinical Massage — Therapeutic
Hands-on soft-tissue treatment of the back and legs only, for muscular pain, stiffness and tension. Often used alongside a rehabilitation programme rather than on its own. It is not a relaxation massage, and it does not replace a physiotherapy assessment — if you have not been assessed here before, book an Initial Consultation first.
45 min
$120
Section 5

Equipment & device set-up

Each session is 60 minutes. Additional caregiver or care-staff training is $220 per 60 minutes, then $110 per additional 30 minutes. A medical prescription is required for oxygen and BiPAP. Fees are separate from device purchase or rental costs.

BiPAP Setup
Set-up of non-invasive ventilation where breathing support is prescribed for a respiratory or neuromuscular condition: mask fitting, pressure titration against the prescription, settings adjustment, operation training and caregiver education. CPAP for sleep apnoea is the separate, shorter appointment in section 6.
60 min
$220
Cough Assist Setup & Training
Device set-up, settings adjustment and operation training for mechanical insufflation-exsufflation, with caregiver instruction and safety briefing.
60 min
$220
Tracheostomy Care & Management
Tube assessment, cleaning technique, tube change support, care site inspection, infection prevention education and caregiver training.
60 min
$220
Oxygen Review & Education
Equipment set-up, oxygen titration guidance, safety protocol briefing, storage and handling education and emergency procedures.
60 min
$220
Suctioning Training & Management
Airway suctioning technique for the client and carers, infection control protocols, equipment use, troubleshooting and safety guidelines.
60 min
$220
Section 6

Sleep support

CPAP Setup
Full set-up of CPAP for obstructive sleep apnoea: mask selection and fitting, pressure and comfort settings, humidification, and training to use, clean and maintain the device at home. Covers the early problems that cause people to give up in the first fortnight — air leak, dryness and pressure tolerance.
45 min
$180
CPAP Review
A follow-up appointment for CPAP already set up: download review, hours of use and residual events, and adjustment of pressure, humidification and mask fit. For therapy that has become uncomfortable, mask removal overnight, or a routine annual check.
20 min
$60
Sleep studies and lung function testing are not performed at Inspire Clinic. Clients can complete our sleep apnoea check and take it to their GP for review and onward referral for a home sleep study. All lung function testing is referred to CQ Respiratory and Sleep Clinic. The six-minute walk test, with or without oxygen, is performed here on GP or specialist referral and is quoted on request.

Section 8

NDIS

Delivered under Improved Daily Living and billed at the NDIS price limit, so these are the published caps rather than clinic-set fees. A service agreement is required before the first appointment. Rates change when the NDIS Pricing Schedule is updated.

Support item 15_055_0128_1_3.
$183.99/hour
Telehealth consultation

Non-face-to-face services
Support item 15_055_0128_1_3_NF. Report writing, plan and goal documentation, equipment scripts and quotes, and liaison with the participant's team and treating doctors. Agreed in advance and recorded in the service agreement.
$183.99/hour
Provider travel
Support item 15_055_0128_1_3_PT. Labour time travelling to and from a face-to-face appointment away from the clinic, at 50% of the physiotherapy rate as set by the NDIS, capped at 30 minutes each way for Rockhampton (MMM 2). Agreed in writing in the service agreement before the first appointment. The private $1/km surcharge does not apply.
$92/hour
Travel is billed under the NDIS rules, not our private rate. Provider travel is claimed at $92/hour for labour time only, where the participant is seen away from the clinic, and is agreed in the service agreement beforehand. Travel time is capped at 30 minutes each way in MMM 1–3 locations, and Rockhampton is MMM 2; outreach towns classified MMM 4–5 carry a longer limit, so the agreed time is recorded per participant. Non-labour costs such as tolls or parking are charged only where incurred and agreed. A clinic appointment or telehealth review avoids travel charges entirely.
Our commitment to the NDIS Code of Conduct. Every element of the Code, mapped to the process we use — worker screening, consent, privacy, conflicts of interest, incident reporting and complaints. Read it here.
NDIS notice period: 2 clear business days — longer than our standard terms. Short-notice cancellations are claimed in line with the current NDIS cancellation rules. NDIS appointments are changed or cancelled by contacting reception, not through the website, so the plan and the claim stay correct.
Section 9

Aged care

We see older people in our Rockhampton clinic and in their own homes in the community. We do not provide services into residential aged care facilities.

Where a client is funded through an aged care provider we invoice the provider directly against a purchase order or service agreement. Please send the funding approval before the first appointment — we cannot invoice a provider without it. Consultation fees are in section 1 and report fees in section 7.

Common reasons for referral

  • Breathlessness and deconditioning in heart and lung disease
  • Falls risk and reduced exercise tolerance
  • Airway clearance and sputum management
  • Home oxygen and ventilation support, including carer training
  • Reconditioning after a hospital admission

My Aged Care reports

Specialist reports for service planning, documenting functional capacity, care requirements, clinical goals and recommendations — priced in section 7.

Travel is absorbed into our fee — there is no separate charge. Under Support at Home a provider cannot invoice travel as a separate line or claim it from the care management account, so we build it into the service fee. The private $1/km surcharge does not apply to aged care clients. What you are quoted for a home visit is what you are invoiced — no kilometre charge, no call-out fee, no administration fee.
Section 10

Medicare, DVA and insurers

Medicare — GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP)

The client pays the full fee and we process the claim so the fixed rebate of $63.40 is paid back to them. Up to 5 services per calendar year, or up to 10 for eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. The referral must reach us before the first appointment — we cannot claim without it. Bulk-billing by arrangement.

DVA

Gold and White Card holders with a current D904 referral, or a direct referral from their GP or specialist, are billed directly to DVA at the current DVA schedule fee — no out-of-pocket cost to the veteran. Clinic and home visits both available.

Work Cover QLD and NIISQ

Billed to the insurer at the relevant current table or scheme rate against an approved claim or funding request. Please provide the claim number and the case manager's contact details before the first appointment.

Travel is billed under the travel item in the Work Cover Queensland Allied Health Services Table of Costs, where it is reasonable, necessary and approved. NIISQ benchmarks allied health services and travel to the same Table of Costs, so NIISQ travel is billed on the same basis. The private $1/km surcharge does not apply to either.

Private health insurance

Rebates depend on the level of cover and are claimed by the client from their fund. On-the-spot claiming is available through Tyro Health where the fund supports it. An itemised invoice is provided on request for any pathway.

Section 11

Cancellation & non-attendance

Cancelling an appointment24 hours' notice
Moving an appointment to another time12 hours' notice
NDIS-funded appointments — cancel or move2 clear business days

Outside those windows you can change or cancel your booking online, or call reception on 0402 166 415. NDIS appointments are always handled by reception.

A single late cancellation or missed appointment is not charged. Where cancellations at short notice or missed appointments occur repeatedly, a fee of $125 plus EFTPOS fees may apply. A cancellation fee is not claimable from Medicare or any other funder, including private health insurance. NDIS short-notice cancellations are claimed against the participant's plan as set by the NDIS.

Section 12

Payment, referrals & products

Payment

We kindly request payment on the day of service, unless the service is billed directly to a funder. Where health-fund or Tyro Health systems are temporarily unavailable, on-the-spot claiming may not be possible and the full fee is payable on the day.

Referrals and prescriptions

No referral is needed to see a physiotherapist privately. A referral is required for a Medicare GPCCMP and for DVA, and a medical prescription is required to begin oxygen therapy or non-invasive ventilation.

Products sold at the clinic

The e-chamber Portable Nebuliser Pro and PARI MucoClear® hypertonic saline are available for purchase at the clinic, so we have a commercial interest in them. Other nebulisers and nebuliser solutions are available through pharmacies and other suppliers. Clients are under no obligation to buy anything from us, and product costs are separate from the service fees in this schedule.

Section 13
